In the following technical note is going to
show and clarify you what would happen with the GISIZE License if some of these
parameters are changed.
GISIZE was launched as Desktop App eight years
ago. The way to control and track their related licenses, is through the
specific information of the machine where its being installed. So, if for some
reason you change something on your machine like:
- Id
of CPU
- Id
of Motherboard
- Id
of BIOS
- Id
of Hard Disk
- Id
of Windows
This is a function of the Hardware and as soon
as any modification of any of these components is detected, the GISIZE license
would be invalid.
For example, if you use AZURE system which is
susceptible to change the IDs, take in consideration that this will affect with
their GISIZE License because the system would notice that some of these
parameters has changed.
For any questions regarding on the changes of
IDs from these machines and best practices to be followed during maintenance
activities for the Cloud VMs, contact with Microsoft support.
GISIZE Geospatial only supports to work on in a
static server and must not modify any ID-Hardware. This is, it can work on both
physical and virtual machines (but they have to maintain their initial machine
configurations in order to properly work at license level).
Another possible solution or alternative would
be to upgrade to the new GISIZE Maps 2024, which you can centralizing the
license in a static Virtual Machine server (as AVEVA License Server style) and
all the clients could go through the WEB without affecting any ID change by the
workstation being used. If you interesting in obtaining more information
regarding on this, please contact with your sales agent.
